The district is well connected by a fine road network totaling 620.239 kms. In all. The National Highway 44 E has a total length of 39kms. State Highways’ total length is55 kms. And District Roads’ total length is 526.239 kms. The district is connected to East Khasi Hills district, West Khasi Hills district. Ri Bhoi district and South West Khasi Hills district. Except two all other Polling Stations are connected with all-weather roads.
